History

Simply Serenity began as a small shrine to Queen Serenity in 2001 when I created it under the alias Bunny. The site contained basic information, an image gallery, and just a few other things. Over time the site began to grow to include more information, images, games, goodies, all of it. In it's early days, SS was hosted on geocities.com because I was still new to websites and did not own a domain. After about a year, Simply Serenity was granted hosting on silversenshi.net where it remained until 2004. About that time the server crashed and the online version of SS disappeared. Since my interest in Sailor Moon had dropped severly at that time, and I was busy with college, I did not bother to bring the site back online.

Recently I decided to resurrect Simply Serenity and bring it back to the world of Sailor Moon fandom. My attraction to the series has never completely gone away and has recovered from its low in 2004. In addition I also have my own domain to host the site on now. Although it has been many years since I became a Sailor Moon fan, I still love the series and I enjoyed being a part of the online Sailor Moon community. Nowdays there are not many Sailor Moon character shrines left, which I think is a very sad thing. So starting just after the 2008 new year, I found some of my files from the old Simply Serenity and began creating it anew!

Simply Serenity has changed from the version that closed in 2004, partly because I lost some of the original files including all the music files. I also removed some old graphics (wallpapers, buttons, etc) that looked dated and really were not quality to begin with (my old works scare me sometimes...). Although it has lost some of its original charm, I hope that this site will continue to grow and become an asset to the Sailor Moon community as well as a lasting tribute to Queen Serenity.

Plans for the Future

Here are a few of the things I am planning for SS in the near future:
- Redo the anime gallery with images screencaped by me.
- Add images from PGSM
- Redo the manga gallery with scans by me.
- Add avatars, wallpapers, and other graphics
- Add Silver Millennium information
- Add information on items related to Queen Serenity
